INFORMATION VS transformation
Most keynotes operate at the level of information. They give your audience facts, frameworks and tools. People nod, take notes, walk out feeling smarter. Two weeks later, almost nothing has actually changed.
This isn't because the speaker was bad. Information and behavior live in two different places inside the human brain. Information lives in the cortex, where facts get processed. Behavior lives somewhere much older, in the layers that run on identity, fear and habit. You can pour information into the cortex all day, but if it never reaches that deeper layer, your audience walks out exactly as they walked in.
