Late October in Mexico City. GMNI International Accounting Association members from around the world gathered for their international conference. In one of the main rooms, professional service leaders spent a full day with psychologist, Change Management expert and TED speaker Ferran Tort exploring a simple but demanding question How can AI truly maximize performance in professional services.

AI as the clearest sign that change is accelerating
During the workshop, Ferran used AI as the most visible example of how change has become faster and more disruptive than ever.
Professional firms face clients, regulations, markets and technologies that evolve at high speed. AI condenses all of that in one shock. In only a short period, it has gone from curiosity to daily tool for many professionals.
The message was clearIf the pace of change grows, the way people think inside firms needs to evolve at the same speed.
To use AI well you need a different way of thinking
One of the central ideas of the dayBefore learning prompts or platforms, leaders need to upgrade their mindset.
Ferran worked with the group on Growth Mindset applied to AI
Seeing AI as a partner that stretches your thinking
Accepting that you will learn through trial and error
Being willing to question how you have always done your work
Without that Growth Mindset, AI becomes a threat. With it, AI becomes an amplifier. Future ready leaders are those who stay curious, who test, who ask better questions to the tools instead of defending their old routines.

AI with a purpose, not AI for the sake of it
Another strong point in the workshopUsing AI just because everybody is talking about it adds noise, not value.
Ferran invited participants to connect every AI use case with a very concrete objective
What problem are we solving
What time or quality gain do we expect
How does this improve value for our clients or our teams
From there, the group explored three big areas where AI already makes sense in professional services
Repetitive tasks
Writing first drafts of emails
Summarising long documents
Preparing standard checklists
Support for analysis and decisions
Crossing data
Comparing options
Bringing together information that would be hard to synthesize alone
Creative and strategic thinking
New angles for client proposals
Different ways to structure a workshop or training
Perspectives that challenge how things have been done until now
The key insightAI is not only about automating what is repetitive. Used well, it expands the limits of what professionals can imagine and build.

Custom GPTs, curiosity and hands on exploration
One of the moments with more energy in the room came when Ferran introduced Custom GPTs.
Once people understood that they could create their own AI based on the firm’s reality, curiosity exploded. Questions and ideas appeared fast
Could we create an internal GPT aligned with our methodology
Could we give new joiners an AI that speaks our language and our tone
Could partners have a strategic thinking copilot for proposals and client meetings
The conversation moved from generic AI to AI that speaks the language of each firm. That is where Psychology and Trainings for Companies enter fully. Custom GPTs can be designed to reinforce values, behaviours and Growth Mindset, not only processes.

What stayed with participants at the end of the day
At the end of the GMNI workshop, the comments repeated a similar pattern. Inspiring. Energetic. Insightful. Forward looking.
Behind those words, several concrete takeaways appeared
The speed of change demands that leaders train their mindset, not only their technical skills
AI must be used with clear goals, not as a shiny toy
Custom GPTs open a practical way to turn firm knowledge and culture into daily support
Future ready leaders are those who embrace AI, stay curious and model Growth Mindset for their teams

The day with GMNI in Mexico City showed that AI is a mirror for professional service firms. It reflects how open or defensive their culture is.
When Change Management, psychology and AI meet, something powerful happens. Leaders stop asking if AI will replace them and start asking how they can grow with it.
If your firm wants to move in that direction, the next step is simpleCreate spaces where your people can explore AI with guidance, connect it to real work and upgrade their mindset at the same time. That is exactly what “AI to Maximize Performance in Professional Services” is designed to do.
